Ceramic implants are made from zirconia, a high-strength, biocompatible ceramic material.
They act as artificial tooth roots, supporting a crown or bridge so you can bite, chew, and smile with confidence.
Because the material is white rather than grey, there is no metal showing through at the gum line. Many patients feel this blends more naturally with the surrounding teeth and gums, particularly in visible areas.

3D digital scans and simulations to visualise tooth movement before treatment begins
When a tooth is missing or needs to be removed, replacing it in a way that supports comfort, function, and long-term tissue health is essential.
Ceramic implants offer a tooth-coloured alternative to traditional dental implants, designed to support function, appearance, and long-term oral health.
At N1 Dental, Ceramic Implants are used to replace missing teeth while respecting the surrounding bone, gums, and overall biological environment.

Zirconia implants are ideal for those seeking metal free
options

The white colour of ceramic implants may reduce the risk of dark shading at the gum margin.

Treatment is planned with bone stability, gum health, and future maintenance in mind.
Every ceramic implant journey begins with a detailed assessment, usually as part of a Biological Foundations Plus consultation.
This allows us to assess:
Bone levels and anatomy using appropriate X-rays and 3D imaging
Bite and surrounding structures
Overall health and nutritional status
Factors that may influence healing and long-term success
Replacement of a single missing tooth
Replacement of multiple teeth in selected cases
Situations where a metal-free solution is preferred
Planned alongside Biological Tooth Removal, where appropriate
Suitability is always assessed on an individual basis.
Ceramic implant treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you should not feel discomfort during the procedure. Pressure and movement may be felt, but pain is not expected.
In many cases, ceramic implants are placed in two or sometimes three stages:
The implant is placed using a controlled, biologically respectful technique
Ozone may be used to reduce bacterial load
PRF, prepared from a small blood sample, and bone graft material may be used where appropriate to support stable bone formation
Once integration has occurred, a custom ceramic crown or bridge is fitted to restore the missing tooth or teeth
For patients who need additional support, IV sedation is available to help you feel deeply relaxed throughout treatment.
Supportive therapies are used selectively and as part of a wider clinical plan. They are not provided in isolation.

Ozone therapy

PRF therapy

Bone grafting

Nutritional status testing

3D X-ray (CBCT)

Saliva microbiome testing
Long-term success depends on careful maintenance of the gums and surrounding tissues.
For this reason, we usually recommend a tailored hygiene and maintenance plan, often involving Enamel Spa and other supportive therapies, to help keep tissues healthy over time.

A detailed estimate is provided following assessment.
Additional procedures such as bone grafting, PRF, sinus lift, or IV sedation are discussed and confirmed in advance where required.
If you're missing a tooth, or have been advised that a tooth cannot be saved and you prefer a metal-free option, Ceramic Implants at N1 Dental may be appropriate.
