PRF may be used as a supportive measure during procedures where tissue healing is an important part of recovery, including:
Surgical tooth removal
Implant and bone-related procedures
Periodontal and gum treatments
Areas where soft tissue healing is a priority
Its use is always determined on an individual basis and discussed as part of a wider treatment plan.
Platelet-Rich Fibrin is produced by gently processing a small blood sample taken at the appointment.
This process concentrates platelets and fibrin, creating a material that contains naturally occurring biological mediators involved in wound healing.
Because PRF is derived entirely from the patient's own blood, no additives or synthetic materials are introduced.
PRF is typically placed directly at a surgical or treatment site as part of the planned procedure.
It is used in conjunction with, not instead of, established surgical or restorative techniques.
The aim is to support natural healing processes rather than replace standard care.
PRF preparation is straightforward and takes place during your planned procedure.
A small blood sample is taken at the appointment
PRF is prepared chairside
Placement occurs as part of the planned procedure
No additional appointments are usually required solely for PRF
Suitability is always confirmed in advance.
There is established scientific interest in PRF and its role in wound healing and tissue repair.
Some applications are supported by clinical evidence, while others remain an area of ongoing and emerging research.
At N1 Dental, PRF is used cautiously and selectively, based on current evidence, clinical judgement, and individual patient circumstances.
It is always discussed transparently, including where evidence is still developing.
Supportive therapies such as PRF and ozone are not typically provided in isolation.
They are used to complement primary treatments, where the potential benefits justify their inclusion and align with the overall treatment objectives.
PRF may form part of a broader plan focused on stability, healing, and long-term outcomes.

Discussed in advance
PRF is charged as an adjunct to treatment where used. Fees depend on the procedure being carried out.
If you are undergoing treatment where PRF may be appropriate,
This will be discussed with you as part of your consultation.
